Why Video is the King of Content

Updated: Apr 27, 2022

It is so important for a business to market themselves digitally, especially on social media. Marketing a business online can have a positive impact on the business and can directly result in sales. You only need to look at the Kardashian empire for proof. They have all launched their own business on social media and they are now worth billions.

Kylie Jenner is a great example of this, she launched her entire cosmetic brand solely on Snapchat and Instagram and it sold out instantly. You could argue she had fame on her side, but fundamentally she marketed her products directly to the customer with video content.

One of the best forms of digital content for social media is video, whether that be a TikTok video or an Instagram reel. A visual video will encourage users to interact with the brand more and this will help with the brand's engagement. Moving objects such as video and GIFs draw more attention than standard still images and text do.

The Numbers Don’t Lie

Don’t just take my word for it, there are statistics to back these claims up:

  • 54% of users want to see more video content from a brand or business they support. - Hubspot, 2018

  • 82% of global internet traffic will come from video streaming and downloads in 2022. - Citco, 2019

  • 8 of 10 businesses see an increase in click-through rate when music is integrated into video content. - Wyzowl, 2019

The problem is people want to create high-quality content, but without having to wait or learn new skills, which is time-consuming (and often costs money). There are several different applications out there, but there isn’t one like Studio that will automatically find, sync and edit high-quality music to fit your content in a matter of seconds with just a few clicks.
